At Agave Homes no two homes are alike. We offer two distinct ways to deliver your modern custom home.

Option 1: Purchase a completed home from Agave Homes

Each home is customized to the lot it is built on, taking into consideration of the views, privacy and orientation to the sun. The lot is studied prior to starting the home design to take into account all of these important factors. Agave Homes has focused on purchasing premium properties in close proximity to each other. Each home we construct continues to add value to the neighbourhood that is located within walking distance of most amenities.

The custom homes design is done in-house by our design team with the attention and detail as if every home is our own. In the South

Our custom homes are designed in-house with the attention and detail as if every home is our own. The engineering firm ultimately signs off on the structure of the home and is intimately involved every step of the way with our framing crews. Hours upon hours are put in by the design team in sourcing out materials from windows to doors and all the finishings that make up the character and feel of the home. Each home is equipped with an elevator for age in place living.

Even though all the homes have a modern theme, each home has a different look and feel both inside and out. The exterior of the homes is finished in a way that requires minimal maintenance with stucco, concrete, trespa and other weather-resistant products.

Once completed the turnkey homes only need someone to call it home.

Option 2: A Custom Built Dream home

Building a custom home can be very daunting for most people. Decisions on where to build, who is going to build the home, what is going into the home and ultimately what is the final cost can be overwhelming. Outside decisions on landscaping, pools, fire pits and fencing add to the complexity of a custom build and design. 

 

At Agave Homes we understand these issues and do our best to simplify the process by having a turnkey approach. Our approach includes having our own lots to build on, a team of professionals to design and construct each home, including completing all features outside so everything is in our control and responsibility. We are onsite daily and are intimately involved in every aspect of the project. The journey of constructing a custom home should be an enjoyable one without surprises or added stresses. 

 

Here is how our approach works;

Our 4-Step Build Process

Step 1

The Agave team has an initial meeting with the potential client to discuss wish lists, property location and an initial budget.
By going through this initial process, both parties will have an indication if it is a good fit to move forward with more discussions. Our approach is to be very open and transparent on costs of the property and project upfront, as well as our methodology.

We can determine a cost range by going through this process that will be refined through additional steps. Our turnkey homes start in the mid $2 million dollar range and increase from there.

Step 2

After the initial meeting, we take a look at the properties we have available. We are not currently interested in building a custom home on property we do not own.
The pricing of the properties are not determined by Agave Homes or the potential client. All of our properties are appraised by an independent appraisal firm and they determine the value of each lot using a multitude of parameters. The value determined on each lot is not negotiable.

Step 3

To continue with this step the potential client is required to have chosen a lot and have an agreement in place to purchase the lot with one condition.

The condition is that a mutual agreement can be reached on the construction of the house, that includes design, allowances, budget and time lines.

Finalizing construction plans, permitting and final selections will follow after the property is officially purchased.
If at any stage prior to the finalization of the design and costing stage, the potential home owner feels the process is not going to be feasible, they are not obligated to purchase the property or incur any additional costs.

Agave Homes will commit to a budgeted number that will remain in place throughout the project for the comfort of the future homeowner.

The list of allowance costs will determine final costs as everything in the list is finalized. The costs of the allowances are based on actual homes we have constructed. We do not deal with volumes of people as we have a very select market we are building for. The only way the pricing of the home changes is by the homeowners exceeding budgeted allowances or making changes that effect construction costs.

Step 4

A detailed contract between the home owner and Agave Homes is put in place. The contract clearly lays out the process and responsibilities for both parties.

The contract includes costs, timelines, home warranty and additional important information.
The process of going through the initial meeting and the steps outlined including final construct and occupancy takes approximately 12-15 months. The variation of the 3 months is determined by the length of time the design process takes and is different with each client.

At the end of the process the home owner has a beautiful home with a fully landscaped yard that they can be proud of for years to come.

Recently Sold Homes
